Additional: Vessel was constructed using new and previously unused marine grade alloys to the specification and plans supplied by Naiad Design Limited Picton, New Zealand, built to comply with USL NSCV 2C survey. Being hardtop Pilot House design with forward raked windows and a lockable cabin with raised side and foredeck. Safety rails and travellers are fitted for Pilots around the perimeter of the cabin, the foredeck has an island grab rail on the very front of the vessel. The cabin security is by a hinged double door fastened to the aft cabin bulkhead, which can be secured in the open position while the vessel is on duty.Vessel has excellent manoeuvrability at low and high speed, with an ability to hold station or pull off easily after coming alongside ships while at sea. The vessel is a safe and comfortable working platform in all but severe sea conditions. The fender system is made of a laminated closed cell EVA foam coated with a polyurethane Rhino epoxy coating, c/w 5 strong mooring points for rafting up to other vessels.Easily handled by a 2 person crew, with 6 KAB 514 seats with head and armrests supplied in the cabin area. Floor areas inside the cabin are covered with a sound reducing vinyl with a fatigue membrane underneath and a removable carpet mat that is held in position.Powered by twin Volvo D6 330hp diesels driving through twin IPS-450 drives, engine controls are electronic, the steering is power assisted Hydraulic, with full electronic engine management and instruments, the vessel has a top speed in excess of 28 knots, cruising speed is 24 knots.
